You might know Manuel as the guitarist and leader of the very influential German krautrock band Ash Ra Tempel. He also released this album which is basically one long track that was a big influence on electronic music in general from house, to techno, to ambient and everything in between. One listen and you begin to understand where a lot of the stuff that's popular nowadays comes from. I also read that this whole thing was improvised on the fly. Even more impressive.
